Kastoria belongs to the only Greek Region without a coastal zone, but it has traditional settlements with rich architecture, while its main characteristic is the city next to the lake and vice versa.

The entire destination offers a multitude of tourist experiences, such as religious and historical monuments, excellent restaurants, wineries to visit, experiences in nature, which creates a tourist experience that can keep the visitor for days.

The city of Kastoria can be reached via Egnatia road from the city of Thessaloniki in a distance of less than two hours, from Athens via PATHE and Egnatia road in about 6 hours, but also through the Ionian road in about 5 hours. Also at a distance of half an hour is the border station of Krystallopigi, a road crossing into Albania and at a distance of about an hour and a half is the border station of Niki, a crossing into North Macedonia.

12 km from the city center is the State Airport of Kastoria “Aristotelis” that offers weekly routes, connecting the region with the capital of the country, Athens. It is an airport that has the ability to connect and accommodate large-body aircraft for the routing of charter flights.

KTEL: long-distance bus transport, offers a connection with several routes on a daily basis, with Kozani, the city of Thessaloniki and with the capital of the country, Athens, while there is a connection with the city of Ioannina and other cities located within the axis of the routes of the above cities.

Regarding the accessibility of people with mobility problems, the geographical relief of the city, the steep slopes and the traditional building materials used, make it difficult for people with mobility problems to move easily.
